👋What is Hand Tracking?
Not only your face and expressions, but this feature also mirrors your hand and finger movements onto your avatar!
Try waving your hand towards the camera when your avatar is displayed in the app, like during a live stream!
⚠️Important Notes⚠️
- Hand Tracking will automatically activate when you display a screen where you can control your avatar after March 31, 2023 at 11:00 EDT.
- If you're already displaying your avatar (e.g., during a live stream) when March 31, 2023 at 11:00 EDT arrives, Hand Tracking may not automatically activate. If this happens, please try restarting the app.
- To disable Hand Tracking, you can select "Hand Tracking OFF" from the menu that appears when you long-press the screen (Emote Circle). To reactivate it, choose "Hand Tracking ON."
- Please note that if you have "Hide Emote Picker" enabled in the "NEXT REALITY" settings, the Emote Circle will not be displayed.
- To use Hand Tracking, your hand movements must be visible to your device's front-facing (selfie) camera.
If your hands aren't moving well, try moving them closer to your face or increasing the distance between your device and yourself. If you have a wide-angle lens or stand for your smartphone, be sure to use them! - Hand Tracking is a limited-time feature available until April 3, 2023 at 10:59 EDT. Please note that it will not be usable after the period ends.
